The word Inspired comes from the Latin word inspiritus which translates as “breath into.”  Broken apart the words are “in spirit.” Translation:  when you are inspired you are living in your spirit.

It is my spirit that wishes to inspire others to become empowered, to live a beautifully balanced life with equal emphasis on the mind, body, spirit and heart, to learn how to overcome adversity both physically and mentally and to do all things with love and faith in the “Most High.”

My Story

We all have a story to tell. I have been blessed with many. As a teacher, mentor and coach I have experienced a lot of joy watching the people I have worked with achieve success in so much. It elevates me to feel as though I have played a small role in their stories.

But I am more than what you see, I am a wife, a mother, a daughter, an animal lover, an artist and an avid gardener; a woman with a strong faith and a reverent heart despite the deep sorrow I have endured. A few months after giving birth to my daughter my first husband was diagnosed with lung Cancer.  He passed away nineteen month later.

My story doesn’t end there. In 2007, I was favored with love once again. My second husband, Ricardo Barros, was an amazing man. He adopted my daughter and was truly the best father I could ask for. It was heartbreaking to watch him suffer and decline from stomach cancer. He passed away in 2017.

A Guide To God After Grief
By Sabrina Vaz

If you’ve lost someone you love, you’ve likely experienced some or all the following emotions: anger, loneliness, fear, confusion, and guilt. You may have even felt like there were no more good days ahead for you. Perhaps you still feel that way. As someone who has lost two husbands, Sabrina Vaz has felt all those things and more. She knows that losing a loved one is not an easy road to walk as you’re accustomed to having someone else by your side. She also, however, notes that even if you’ve lost someone you love dearly, you are never truly alone. Through God, you can find the love and strength you need to walk down a path of promise. In this book, the author shares how hard it was to suffer so much loss, including having to watch her second husband, Ricardo, battle years of illness. She still misses him every day, but she has survived by the grace of God. The author prays that her testimony will touch others with tears, laughter—and most importantly—a desire to live, love, and shine through with God’s mercy and light.

She is available for speaking engagements, book signings and grief support group workshops.
